Vienna University of Applied Arts is located on the Oskar Kokoshka square, named after the one of the most famous graduates of this education institution. To apply to Die Angewandte you need to prepare portfolio. After its evaluation by the Creative Commission of the university, the applicant can take the entry exam. Exam’s results are valid for the period of 3 semesters, that allows admitted students varying the start date of their studies.

The university offers Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degree programs, as well as postgraduate programs. To get an approval of the application, there is no need to provide a certificate confirming German Knowledge level.
The main prerequisite for further participation in the competitive selection procedure to get a study place is the previous submission of the portfolio and further taking an entrance exam. Application is possible twice a year: in September and in February. Please note, if you get an acceptance letter to study, you should confirm the sufficient German knowledge level until the end of the 2nd semester of study.
