TASIS secondary school is a transferring stage between elementary and high schools. The school curriculum includes teaching in English and Italian along with exiting activities after classes. Living and studying in the schools help to mutually develop and make friends for the lifetime. The school buildings date back to 17th century. The American school in Switzerland is located on the hill in Montagnola, just a few minutes’ drive from Lugano. The school has an incredible view on Lake Lugano and surrounding mountains.
The school opens its doors for 720 students, 260 of which aged between 12 and 19 years old. Students represent more than 60 countries of the world and speak more than 30 different languages. Student: teacher ratio is 6:1. Secondary school prepares its leavers to enter higher educational establishments not only in Europe, but in America and other continents as well. To leave the school students must pass minimum 5 subjects a year. The school offers a range of programs from learning English as a second language to math, arts and physical training.
