St. Gilgen International School is a boarding school that opens its doors for students of different age. Usually, international students attend school from 10th to 12th grades. The school teaches its students to be strong and independent, to think critically and orient in the modern difficult world. Mutual understanding and respect also help students to make new friends from all around the world and thus spread world’s unity. Tuition in the school provides small classes, dynamic studying, individual approach to every student, wide choice of subjects and possibility to develop in the sport and art areas. The school is located in the picturesque town of St. Gilgen near the Wolfgangsee lake in close distance to Salzburg. Near 250 students from different countries of the world attend the school. The language of instruction is English, but German, French and Spanish are also offered.

For the cultural and spiritual development, students are offered a wide range of extra-curricular activities and excursions, children also volunteer. Music takes one of the central places in the students’ life, there is a recording studio with modern equipment on the school campus, lots of concerts and musical evenings are held annually. After classes students can go kayaking, mount climbing, horse riding, water skiing, hiking, mount biking and Alps summit ascent. At the St. Gilgen International School, your child will be assisted by a teacher, a mentor, who is cared for by the needs of a small group of students (maximum up to 6 students).
