Humboldt University of Berlin was founded in 1810 and it is one of the oldest universities in Berlin, which is normally included to the eleven elite and most prestigious universities in Germany, occupies the first positions in the rankings of German universities, from time to time sacrificing only the Free University of Berlin, which was created in 1948 year after the split of Berlin. Since the split, Humboldt University has been the largest university in the Eastern Germany. Every year about 5,000 young students decide to start their studies at this university. Humboldt University of Berlin offers 185 different programs, including 21 international Master's programs fully taught in English.

Less DetailsIf you apply to study at Studienkolleg via partner universities (Humboldt University, Free University of Berlin, Charite Academy), you have the opportunity to submit only one application. If you are applying for the 1st year Bachelor's or Master's programs, then you can submit some applications.
The deadlines for making an application vary significantly. Master's programs usually have earlier application deadlines. Some bachelor's and master's programs start 2 times a year, some only from winter semester. Programs at Studienkolleg usually start 2 times a year in winter and summer semesters. However, this rule does not apply to Studienkolleg Freie Universität Berlin, here you can apply only for winter semester.
The main documents are the folowwings: a school leaving certificate with transcripts and confirmed German knowldge with a certificate minimum at B2 level. Note! The W course also requires proof of English knowledge minimum at B1 level.
There is such an opportunity. Students who wish to take FSP externally without first attending the Studienkolleg must apply through the uni-asist by March 15 each year. It is obligatory to have a German C1 proficiency level, confirmed by a certificate.
By choosing a mono-bachelor's program, you will study one main subject (minimum 120 ECTS). Combined bachelor's programs include the study for the first main subject (90-120 ECTS) and the one additional subject (minimum 60 ECTS). All teacher's training courses are always combined.
