Hohenschwangau school is a public school that gives an opportunity to live and study in the school. School offers its students two ways of studying: scientific and technical and linguistic. Near 750 students attend the school and 100 of them live in the boarding school. The language of instruction is German, and from the 5th grade English is introduced as a second foreign language, high school students can take one more language to learn.
After leaving the secondary school students receive German Abitur diploma. In addition to the standard program curriculum provides IT classes, courses of Italian or Spanish, singing, instrumental playing and theatrical classes etc. As school is located at the foot of the mountains, students are offered a wide range of ski sports. A great attention is also paid to extra curriculum activities. School introduces obligatory classes that are not in the main school program to strengthen knowledge and skills of the students. These classes can include intensive learning of the second foreign language, math, German and others.
The School teaches its students to value, respect and tolerate others, cooperate with roommates and be responsible not only for yourself but for your community as well. Children are constantly offered different trips and excursions.
Boarding school provides single and twin rooms with all furniture. Girls and boys live separately. Dormitories are opened during the weekends and holidays. Boarding fees also include full board, meals in the school dining room.

Less DetailsThe gymnasium offers a secondary education program for grades 5-12. Program participants live in a boarding school, which is located in the school grounds. In order to successfully achieve the goals of upbringing and personal development, as well as to promote a high level of academic performance, there is a сommon daily routine regime at the boarding school. Every day, students start with breakfast, then everyone attends classes, after which they have lunch.
In the afternoons the students do their homework, in their free time they take part in the entertainment program. Then everyone gathers at dinner and after they get ready for bed. For stays, you can book a single or double room in a boarding school at a cost of € 5,700 per 1 year + € 400 a one-time registration fee for foreign students.
