American International School Salzburg is a boarding school for pupils from 7 to 12 grades. During many years it offers a good preparation for higher educational institutions entry both in Austria and the world. Rich academic, social and cultural program, student-teacher ratio 3:1 greatly outline the school from among the others. The school offers an American teaching and living style being located in Europe. The language of instruction in the school is English, and all the teachers are USA citizens or native speakers. Before acceptance, AIS provides a language support for those, who need to improve their knowledge of English.

Twice a year school organizes big trips to different European countries that are included in the tuition fees (except for lunch).
Housing provides single or four-bedded rooms. All room are fully furnished and agree with all standards. Price also includes a full board three meals per day in the school dining hall.

The American International School - Salzburg offers a solid level of preparation, which leads to the awarding of an American high school diploma. The school curriculum is maintained and regularly evaluated by the school administration, faculty and other supervisory bodies. School policies, learning materials and a learning approach remain compatible within most accredited independent schools in the United States and around the world.
The school language of instruction is English, and most of the teachers and staff are US citizens and native speakers of English. Due to the historical and educational orientation of the school, it is no wonder that the school graduates take an additional year of pre-university preparation (Grade 13), which provides good chances to enter universities and colleges in North America. Also, graduates of the school meet all requirements and enter colleges and universities in the UK, continental Europe, the Far East and other countries of the world.
Summer English / German study program is offered to anyone who wants to improve their knowledge of English or German. In each of the summer classes there are from three to four levels of language learning offered, which are taught by highly qualified teachers of the school. All language teachers are native speakers.
At the beginning of each course, all students are tested, so each student could study an appropriate level. Training begins every morning at 08:30 and continues until 13:00. After lunch, all students participate in day and evening activities. The location of the school in one of the most beautiful cities and regions of the world allows to offer activities and excursions to a number of interesting and culturally rich places.
